I just got back from three weeks of vacation in the Florida Keys and we had an awesome time! I decided to spotlight this destination because I have many clients who are not interested in traveling outside the U.S. If you are looking for a unique, tropical destination within the U.S. with lots of history, shopping and water activities, then you should consider the Florida Keys for your next getaway.
I just got back from a Site Inspection/FAM trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I was very impressed with Punta Cana & Cap Cana and for sure will return. As promised, I am sharing this destination in my Destination Spotlight Series. In addition, I have added tons of tricks and tips in the post.
Here's a tip, when flying, I usually prefer an aisle seat but on this trip I got a window and all I can say is, "WOW". The view was amazing. Check out these photos I took from 35,000 feet! Next time you are flying over the water, I recommend opting for a window seat.
One of my favorite destinations is Tenerife, Canary Islands. I recently became a Certified Tenerife Specialist and the training brought back so many awesome memories from our vacation. So, I decided to share our adventure to Tenerife in my Destination Spotlight Series.
If you are looking for adventure, uniqueness, diversity and beauty, then The Canary Islands are a great destination choice!
I just finished a certification for Los Cabos and since I vacationed there about a year and a half ago, it inspired me to share with you why Cabo is a great vacation spot.
Let’s first start off with a little geography; Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo are two cities located at the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula. These cities are about 20 miles apart. The cities together are called Los Cabos which means The Cape.
“What is travel insurance and do I need it?” As a travel professional, I am asked this question quite often when working with clients who are booking vacations, honeymoons or adventures. Look at it this way; travels can cost thousands of dollars and since you already understand the need to protect your home, cars, and other valuables from loss or damage, why wouldn’t you also want to protect your travel investment? Some of the benefits of purchasing travel insurance coverage include:
Price VS Value
Is it all about the bottom line? Maybe not!
I know that we are all on a budget of some sort. We must juggle between our wants and needs every day. When planning a vacation one of the first things most people think about is how much it’s going to cost them. Most of my clients, that request a land package, want an “all-inclusive” package. Generally speaking, an all-inclusive land package includes a flight, hotel, meals, beverages and taxes. However, this is not always “the bottom line”!
Do you dread packing for a trip? If you said, “YES”, then keep reading this post for some of my great packing tips.
You can start packing as early as you want for a trip but I recommend you start gathering items together at least 10 days prior. This way you are not packing under stress. It always helps to have a plan so you are prepared and nothing has been overlooked.
Do you know the three seasons for travel?
Here is a question I get from clients a lot, “When is the best time to travel?” My answer is always, “That depends on what you want to do on vacation and where you are planning to go”. Most destinations have 3 distinct travel seasons. These seasons are called high season, shoulder season and low season. Generally speaking, during high season you will find larger crowds, higher prices and usually the “best” weather for said destination. Low season usually means lousy weather (could be during rainy season), virtually no crowds and the cheapest
I plan a lot of vacations and many of them are my own. People are always asking for my advice when it comes to planning travel and even though I have a lot to give there are some tips that stand out. Over the next few weeks I will highlight 5 of my "best" travel tips.
Travel Tip 1: Have a plan! Most people want to go on vacation to get away from the routine that has become life. In their minds, they just see themselves sitting on a beach, looking out at the abyss and enjoying their favorite fruity drink; with an umbrella, of course. However, as wonderful as this may sound, the reality is there is an adventurer in us all and we need a plan B!
