We at Princess are very proud of Mrs. Hinds' dedication, as she put in extra effort to offer clients exceptional knowledge regarding our cruise vacation product as well as our worldwide destinations,” said Jan Swartz, Senior Vice President of Customer Service and Sales at Princess. “Travel agents who reach this top level in our Academy program have completed hours of course work to become a cruising expert, which will prove invaluable to providing clients with a great vacation.”
Do you want to figure out how to see a popular destination but at the same time bypass all the crowds? Here is a travel trick and tip combo for you! The next time you start planning a trip try searching for neat cities/town located within about 2-3 hours of the "tourist" locations. Getting outside of the "main" city and into the countryside will help immerse you in the culture and destination and give you a more inside look at how people live and what life is really like. If you are on a 4 day vacation, for example, we recommend spending 2 days in the city and 2 days outside of the city.
Below are photos from our trip to Tenerife, Canary Islands. We rented a car and drove to Playa Benijo which was about a 1-1/2 hour drive from Costa Adeje, the resort town we were staying in. It was definitely "off the beaten path"! We took a stroll on the black sand beach and if you look close you can see only handful of people. Definitely off the "tourist trap" spectrum! We also ate lunch at a small, local restaurant (El Mirador) and enjoyed a delicious open-face cheese sandwich. It was gooey and yummy! They offered outdoor seating with gorgeous views like the ones below.
The world of travel can be scary, confusing, frustrating and downright time consuming! But I am hear to tell you, "it doesn't have to be that way." There are so many travel websites, tour operators, cruise lines, resorts, destinations and so on to choose from the possibilities are endless. However, if you are like the majority of Americans your time to research a getaway is very limited.
Once you start researching you begin to realize that there is a plethora of information on the Internet and this actually begins to hinder your ability to make a choice. Moreover, you will shortly realize that every company has a different price and offers something a little different so comparing apples to apples gets even harder. And if you are anything like me you become obsessed with finding the best possible deal so you spend even more of your already limited time chasing down the lowest price. Well, I am here to tell you how to get off this train and take a stroll down easy street!
